Movie Trailer: Captain America: The First Avenger

With strong openings from the Iron Man and Spider Man films, the message to Hollywood has become extremely clear: Make more comic-based superhero movies. Of course, the film industry answers the call with Thor, the Green Lantern, and now Captain America.

Unlike most of the other comic-books-turned-movies, this one sticks straight to the cell-shaded script, including a lot more of the original characters, villains, and situations of the comic itself. This, of course, means the storyline takes place in the past instead of using dialogue, gadgets and situations fit for the present.

Steve Rogers is a scrawny guy deemed physically unfit for the military. Undeterred, he joins a secret military operation called Project Rebirth and is transformed into Captain America, a super soldier who is created to help put an end to the tyranny of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in World War II.

It would seem that this film has something for everyone: ccuracy with the original story for the comic book fans, science fiction elements for those who are into the genre and historical fiction for history buffs. What more could you ask for, right?
